Magnetic bearing with axial adjustment and assembly method

The bearing has an annular casing (20) comprising a radial slot associated to a clamping unit e.g. screw, and an undercut (21) on face of the casing rotated toward a stator structure (10). The face of the casing includes a sliding surface (23) cooperated with an undercut of annular sleeve (13) and the undercut of the casing. The undercut of casing has a thread (22) cooperated with an external thread (32) of a circular adjustment ring (30) engaged in a peripheral groove (15) arranged in a face of the sleeve rotated toward the casing. The ring is immobilized in the groove in an axial direction. An independent claim is also included for a method of assembling an axial adjustment magnetic bearing.
