Running surface profile comprises two neighboring radially raised profile elements spaced from each other by a profile groove with a transversal stiffness distribution formed along the extension direction of the groove. A first section of the extension region of the profile element runs along the extension direction and the second section of the extension region of the profile element runs along the extension direction. The transversal stiffness is lower in the first section than in the second section. Preferred Features: The profile groove is a profile groove with a main extension direction with a direction component which is larger in the peripheral direction of the vehicle tire than the direction component in the axial direction.
