METHOD FOR CLOSURE OF LOW MEDIAN HYPOGASTRIC DEFECTS OF ANTERIOR ABDOMINAL WALL IN RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY ACCORDING TO SUBLAY TECHNIQUE

A method for the closure of the low median hypogastric defects of the anterior abdominal wall in reconstructive surgery according to sublay technique comprises sewing-in of polypropylene implant in submuscular space. The pyramidal muscles and rectus muscles of abdomen are separated. After mobilization, the pyramidal muscles are transposed downwards and sewed with peritoneum. The polypropylene implant is placed between the pyramidal muscles and rectus muscles of abdomen in hypogastric area. The lower part of the implant is fixed medially to the pubic symphysis and later ally to the pubic tuberosity and ileopubic tract.
