PURPOSE: A composition containing an agent for detecting a dentin marker is provided to simply and efficiently detecting the dentin. CONSTITUTION: A composition for detecting a dentin marker contains an agent for measuring mRNA or protein level. The agent includes a primer pair, probe, or antibody which is specific. A method for detecting the dentin maker comprises: a step of calculating the mass of a peptide cleaved in a biological sample by mass spectrometry; and a step of identifying peptide by comparing the mass spectrum of peptides with a protein sequence database.
