FIELD: agriculture. ^ SUBSTANCE: on the field, where observations of soil moisture are planned to carry out, in advance, on one occasion at the beginning of the growing season the density of soil with undisturbed texture is determined with the well-known method using a cutting ring or cylinder, and then during the whole growing season, as necessary, using a drill which allows to select ground with undisturbed texture, along the horizons a certain amount of samples is taken and weighed on a technical balance, directly in the field and without drying the sample in a thermostat (drying chamber) the soil moisture is determined as difference of densities of soil with undisturbed texture in wet and dry conditions, referred to density of soil with undisturbed texture and expressed as a percentage of weight of dry soil. ^ EFFECT: simplification, acceleration and enhancement of operational efficiency of definition. ^ 1 tbl |
