APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MONITORING OF CONCRETE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for monitoring a concrete structure are provided to diagnose the shear tension failure of a concrete structure by installing multiple sensors in fiber reinforced plastics and using the impedance of the sensors. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for monitoring a concrete structure comprises multiple sensors(120), a concrete structure monitoring unit, and a concrete structure diagnosis unit. The sensors are installed in fiber reinforced plastics(110) for reinforcing a concrete structure. The monitoring unit detects the impedance of the sensors. The diagnosis unit diagnoses the impedance variation of the sensors and the shear tension failure of the FRP. When the shear tension failure of the FRP is diagnosed, the diagnosis unit generates an alarm.
