PURPOSE: A backlight unit equipped with an air gap module and liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to increase the brightness and light uniformity by including a diffusion plate in which a micro lens array pattern is included. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of LED light sources is formed on a printed circuit board. A resin layer diffuses the light coming out to the front. An optical pattern layer(150) includes the optical pattern in the top of the resin layer. A diffusing plate(170) is arranged on the top of the optical pattern layer. A micro lens array pattern(171) is formed in the upper side of the diffusing plate.
