FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to surgery, and can be applied for hiatal hernia repair. A gastrophrenic ligament and a portion of a gastrolienal ligament is dissected to the left and to the right. Crura of diaphragm are separated and sutures behind an oesophagus by interrupted sutures. A defect and a suture line are coated with a prosthesis. The prosthesis is coated with the gastrophrenic and gastrolienal ligaments to be fixed to the prosthesis by interrupted sutures.
