Sheet material for making bellows for connecting vehicle compartments and process for making that material

The cloth has a reinforcement element whose one side is coated with silicone and the other side is coated with elastomer material i.e. chlor-sulfonated polyethylene. The reinforcement element is selected from a fabric or a knitted fabric. A silicone layer is vulcanized on the reinforcement element. An elastomer layer is applied on a free side of the reinforcement element to form bellows (1) of a passage between two pivotally interconnected vehicles, passenger boarding bridges or passenger stairs, where the bellows are provided between two bodies (2, 3) of an articulated vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing clothes for manufacturing bellows.
