PURPOSE: A hill hold control apparatus for an electric vehicle is provided to prevent a vehicle from slipping backward in starting after stopping at a hill by controlling a driving force using an electric motor instead of the park braking power of a parking brake. CONSTITUTION: A motor driving unit(10) drives an electric motor. A wheel speed sensing unit(11) senses the wheel speed of each wheel. A brake pedal sensing unit(12) senses the operation of a brake pedal. An acceleration pedal sensing unit(13) senses the operating state of an accelerating pedal. A motor sensing unit(14) senses the rotating speed of the electric motor and a position of a rotator. A controller(15) drives and controls the electric motor when the electric car slips at the hill. |
