PURPOSE: A method for playing a game with an item in which a player obligatorily participates and a server thereof are provided to make specific users to obligatorily execute a game at a fixed number of times even though a separate game channel is newly opened, thereby providing user's convenience. CONSTITUTION: A game executing unit(220) executes a game. A usage request receiving unit(230) receives a usage request signal about a mandatory participation item from a first terminal. A determination unit(240) determines whether a user of a second terminal obtains money which is in proportion to a preset rate. An item applying unit(250) applies the mandatory participation item according to the determination result.
