SLUDGE TREATING METHOD FOR HIGH-CONCENTRATING SLUDGE USING GRAVITY THICKENERS

PURPOSE: A method for treating sludge is provided to maximize the thickening efficiency of sludge by maintaining the concentration of excessive sludge introduced into a centrifugal thickener at 1%. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating sludge includes the following: Sewage from a grit chamber(10) is primarily precipitated in a primary precipitating bath(30), and raw sludge is discharged. The sewage from the primary precipitating bath is introduced into an aerating bath(40) to form floc based on the metabolizing action of microorganisms. The floc is precipitated in a final precipitating bath(50) to form excessive sludge. The excessive sludge is thickened in a gravity thickening bath(80). The thickened excessive sludge is thickened by a centrifugal thickener(90).
