PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a moving picture advertisement by using the information of scroll-bar location are provided to enhance advertising effects by reproducing a video advertisement only if the video advertisement is displayed to a user. CONSTITUTION: Advertisement display position information is received(S202), and is included in a web document which provides a keyword search result received from a client. The scroll-bar location information of a web browser on which the web document is displayed is received(S204). If the received scroll-bar location information corresponds to the advertisement display location information, video advertisement data are transmitted to the client(S206,S208). Otherwise, the client requests the stop of the transfer of the video advertisement data. |
