A NOVEL PDAT GENE DERIVED FROM CASTOR AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING HYDROXY FATTY ACID BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A novel Ricinus communis L.-derived protein with PDAT(phospholipid diacylglycerol acyltransferase) activity is provided to be applied to various industries. CONSTITUTION: A protein with PDAT(phosphlipid diacylglycerol acyltransferase) activity has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The protein is derived from Ricinus communis L. A nucleic acid molecule encoding the protein has a base sequence of sequence number 4. A recombinant vector contains the nucleic acid molecule. A transgenic plant contains a gene of hydroxyl fatty acid synthesis. The gene encodes FAG(fatty acid hydroxylase). A method for preparing hydroxyl fatty acid comprises: a step of culturing the transgenic plant; and a step of collecting hydroxyl fatty acid from seeds of the transgenic plant.
