<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face image search device and a face image search method which not only outputs a list of candidates of face images similar to an input face image but also simultaneously outputs a list of candidates of similar face images in the view of previously specified attribute information for visual confirmation. <P>SOLUTION: A face image search device searches a face image similar to an input face image out of a plurality of face images previously registered in a face image database to display an output of the search. The face image search device displays a first search result displaying a search result in order of similarity using personal feature information of the face image. The face image search device displays apart from the first search result a second search result which is a search result in order of at least one attribute feature of a person previously specified similar to the input image, derived with use of the attribute feature, or a search result in order of similarity taking both of the personal feature information of the face image and the attribute feature into consideration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
