<p>A method for managing information of common frequency neighboring cells is disclosed in the present invention. The method includes that: when determining that physical layer information of an intra-frequency cell to be added to an intra-frequency neighboring cell list does not have corresponding high layer information, a network side notifies a User Equipment (UE) to report the high layer information of the intra-frequency cell; after receiving the notification, the UE parses a system message of the intra-frequency cell and obtains the high layer information, and reports the high layer information of the intra-frequency cell to the network side; after obtaining the high layer information of the intra-frequency cell, the network side adds the intra-frequency cell to the intra-frequency neighboring cell list. A system for managing information of common frequency neighboring cells is also disclosed in the present invention. With the solutions of the present invention, according to the measurement results and the high layer information of the appointed cells reported by the UE, the network side can perform intra-frequency switching decision, and can enable the UE to perform switching in time, thus effectively preventing exorbitant load of the present cell, worse signal quality of the present cell, serious interference or losing call and other circumstances.</p> |
