<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of avoiding rise in temperature of a developer by cooling a drive part for rotating and driving a stirring member and a developing member, and an image forming apparatus with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 2 comprises: a first spiral 43 for stirring a developer in a developing container 22; a first drive gear 55 for rotating the first spiral 43; a developing roller 20 for supplying the developer to a surface of a photoreceptor 11; and a third drive gear 57 for rotating the developing roller 20. Moreover, the developing device 2 comprises: a reception box 51 that accommodates the first and third drive gears 55 and 57, supports first and third rotation axes 43b and 20a rotatably and has an inlet 51a for letting air in and an outlet 51b for letting the inlet air out; and an air inlet fan 61 that lets air in the reception box 51 from the inlet 51a, gets the inlet air through the reception box 51 and lets the air from the outlet 51b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
