<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission line protection relay system which is based on a current differential principle, being suitable for protecting a power transmission line having many terminals, and easily coping with increase in the number of terminals. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a protection relay system of a multi-terminal power transmission line in which a multi-terminal power transmission line is divided into adjoining three terminals and two or more division power transmission lines, with a power transmission portion between the terminals as a division power transmission line, and with one terminal taken as a duplicate terminal applied to two division power transmission lines. The protection relay system includes: a protection relay device provided to each terminal of the division power transmission line that contains a current differential relay element that detects an in-division failure using a current measured with each terminal in the division power transmission line; an in-division power transmission line communication path for sharing current information required for the protection relay device; and an inter-division power transmission line communication path for communication between two sets of the protection relay devices of the duplicate terminal applied to two division power transmission lines. The protection relay device that has detected an in-division power transmission line failure executes transfer shielding of other terminals using the in-division power transmission line communication path and the inter-division power transmission line communication path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
