<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing consumption power without lowering a use efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a detection part 162 for detecting a terminal device which is connected to a network, communicable with the image forming apparatus and in a working state; a transmission processing part 166 for transmitting, when the number i of the terminal devices detected by the detection part 162 is a predetermined number N or less, a message to each detected terminal device via the network; and power supply control parts 168, 170 and 172 for controlling a power supply state of the image forming apparatus based on the presence or absence of a response to the message and a content of the response to the message. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
