<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion migration-type actuator which is more easily miniaturized and integrated rather than a conventional one and includes large generation force. <P>SOLUTION: The columnar ion migration-type actuator 1 includes: a tubular member 2 as a first electrode, an ion supply material 3 included in the tubular member 2 and a linear second electrode 4 included in the tubular member 2. The ion supply material 3 is installed between an inner wall of the tubular member 2 and the second electrode 4. The ion supply material 3 has polymer gel including a positive ion and a negative ion. The tubular member 2 includes a plurality of second electrodes 4. When voltage is applied between the tubular member 2 and the plurality of second electrodes 4, one ion between the positive ion 5 and the negative ion 6, which are included in the polymer gel, moves to the side of the plurality of second electrodes 4, and the other ion moves to an inner wall side of the tubular member 2.
