<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel that has high strength, hardly deteriorates, is low-corrosive against a metal and has a small load on the environment and a living organism, and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The gel includes an interpenetrating network structure composed of a first network structure (A) formed by polymerizing a first monomer (a1) which is an electrically neutral monofunctional unsaturated monomer and crosslinking by a specific polyfunctional unsaturated monomer (a2) and a second network structure (B) formed within the first network structure (A) by introducing a second monomer (b1) into the first network structure (A) and polymerizing the second monomer (b1) to cause crosslinking.
