<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft capsule increasing carrageenan content in a capsule coating composition and maintaining hardness, on the other hand moderating the gelation rate and the thickening effect of the carrageenan, stabilizing the manufacturability of the capsule, and imparting added value, such as shelf life, post-drying ease of breaking using fingers, sound and sensation upon breaking, and a method for manufacturing the soft capsule. <P>SOLUTION: The capsule coating composite of the soft capsule contains, at least, carrageenan, an acidic pH adjuster, and a neutralizer. The method for manufacturing the soft capsule includes a step in which the carrageenan is decomposed by the acidic pH adjuster and a step in which that decomposition is stopped by the neutralizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
