GAIN CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gain control method and a gain control apparatus for performing gain control specialized for a specific reception signal in the case where a wireless device receives a group of signals on which a plurality of signals of different frequencies have been superimposed.

SOLUTION: A gain control method for controlling a gain when collectively amplifying a group of signals on which a plurality of signals of different frequencies have been superimposed includes: a variable gain amplification step of collectively amplifying the group of signals; a frequency analysis step of performing frequency analysis on a signal output from the variable gain amplification step and measuring a signal level for each of the plurality of signals; and a gain control step of selecting one or more signals from among the plurality of signals as a reference signal on the basis of a preset selection method, and controlling a gain of the variable gain amplification step based on a signal level of the selected reference signal.
