<p>A maintenance method for a multimedia terminal device is provided. The method includes: when the multimedia terminal device starts and enters the system, monitoring whether the system is damaged; and if so, then restarting the multimedia terminal device, and entering a safe mode to perform a safe upgrade, so as to repair the system. A multimedia terminal device is also provided. The multimedia terminal device and the maintenance method thereof realize the function that the multimedia terminal device performs self checks to check whether the device is damaged and performs safe upgrade repairments automatically if damaged. The solution effectively reduces the repair rate and greatly reduces the maintenance cost of the device.</p> |
