<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless base station and a power supply control method capable of controlling power supply efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless base station eNB10-1 calculates a usage rate of resource blocks based on an amount of downward resource blocks (usage amount of downlink resource blocks) and an amount of upward resource blocks (usage amount of uplink resource blocks) allocated to a wireless terminal UE30-1, and determines the number of DSPs to be turned on so that the number of the DSPs to be turned on is reduced as the usage rate of the resource blocks is smaller.
