<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling control method for rolled materials constructing and using a transformation heating prediction model and a temperature prediction model allowing accurate prediction of a transformation heating amount when cooling a rolled material. <P>SOLUTION: In the cooling control method, the transformation heating prediction model predicting the transformation heating amount Q generated when cooling the rolled material W by a cooling means 3, the temperature prediction model predicting the temperature of the rolled material W using the transformation heating amount Q predicted from the transformation heating prediction model are prepared, values of a transformation heating speed parameter p and a thermal conductivity parameter k used in the transformation heating prediction model and the temperature prediction model are set per category, and the transformation heating prediction model and the temperature prediction model are used while using the set values of the transformation heating speed parameter and the thermal conductivity parameter k in a category to which the rolled material W to be cooled belongs to obtain a prediction value of a winding temperature of the rolled material W, thereby controlling the cooling means 3 that a difference between the prediction value and a target value of the winding temperature is not more than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
