<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel and a liquid crystal display apparatus, of which a viewing angle is accurately compensated with a fewer optical compensation layers in the case of suppressing reflection, as on a liquid crystal panel, using a circular polarization mode. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel according to the present invention includes in order from a viewing side: a first polarizer; a first optical compensation layer functioning as a λ/4 plate; a liquid crystal cell; a second optical compensation layer functioning as a λ/4 plate; and a second polarizer; and includes a third optical compensation layer that has a refractive index relation expressed by nz>nx>ny, and is disposed between the first polarizer and the first optical compensation layer or between the second optical compensation layer and the second polarizer. The phase difference wavelength dispersion value (Re<SB POS="POST">3</SB>[450]/Re<SB POS="POST">3</SB>[550]) of the third optical compensation layer is 0.84 to 1.03. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
