摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce frame-like light leakage of a TN mode liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A TN mode liquid crystal display device includes: a pair of polarizers (11 and 12) disposed so that respective polarization axes are orthogonal to each other; a TN mode liquid crystal cell (13) disposed between the polarizers; and low-substitution degree layers including, as a main component, a cellulose acylate satisfying 2.0<Z1<2.7 where Z1 is a total acyl substitution degree of the cellulose acylate in the low-substitution degree layers. In the TN mode liquid crystal display device, the low-substitution degree layer is provided between each of the pair of polarizers and the TN mode liquid crystal cell, and the low-substitution degree layer is provided on an outer surface of each of the pair of polarizers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
