<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing device and an image forming apparatus capable of reducing an oil stain occurring on a recording medium by oil supplied to a contact member when fixing in a configuration including the contact member which is rotated by driving-force of the fixing member contacting with the fixing member after a fixing operation is started. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 100 includes: a fixing roll 102; an outside heating roll 108; a web 112 for supplying oil to the outside heating roll 108; a retract mechanism 140 for moving the outside heating roll 108; a transmission gear 158, intermediate gears 162, 166, 172 and an outside heating-side gear 174 for rotating the outside heating roll 108. Here, the oil pooled in a contact section of the web 112 and outside heating roll 108 is leveled out on the surface of the outside heating roll 108 by having the outside heating roll 108 rotated in a position which is separated from the fixing roll 102, and therefore the oil stain transferred to recording paper P in fixing can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
