<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a gear wheel for a gear pump in which an internal gear wheel and an external gear wheel have the same thickness each other. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a gear wheel for a gear pump, forms the external gear wheel 1 with a gear 9 formed inside thereof and the internal gear wheel 2 with a gear formed outside thereof by a press working. The method for manufacturing a gear wheel for a gear pump, includes: a first step of forming a plate material 10 into a first work 11 having a bottom plane 15 and an inclined lateral surface 18 in the outer peripheral of the bottom plane through a drawing processing; a second step of punching the internal gear wheel 2 from the bottom plane 15; a third step of fitting the first work 11, from which the internal gear wheel 2 is punched out, into an outer mold 43, holding an outer peripheral edge of the inclined lateral surface 18 in the outer mold 43 to plastically flow the first work on an unheld inner diameter side through a press working, and forming the first work into a planar second work 13; and a fourth step of punching out the external gear wheel 1 from the second work 13.
