<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out high precision machining by allowing a tool body axis of a shaft-like tool such as a reamer to exactly coincide with a rotation center line. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft-like tool includes a shaft-like tool body 1 to be rotated around an axis O, a cutting blade 6 is arranged at the tip part of the tool body 1, a groove 10 extending in a circumferential direction is formed at the outer circumference of the rear end of the tool body 1, and a pair of inner wall surfaces 10A facing each other in the axis O direction of the groove 10 are arranged to be gradually set apart as they approach an outer circumferential side in a radial direction.
