<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning apparatus which can appropriately provide air to a sleeping person by partially distributing the volume of clean air blown from a blowout part. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaning apparatus includes a blower 9 which is installed in the vicinity of the head of the sleeping person 11 to supply clean air 15. The blower 9 includes a blowout part 13 for sending air to the neighborhood of the head of the sleeping person 11, and the blowout part 13 is composed of an opening 26, outlet ports 16 arranged around the opening 26, and an air volume distribution passage for sending the clean air to the outlet ports. Since the attracting effect of an air flow by the opening is utilized, the clean air 15 can be sent to the neighborhood of the head even with a low air volume.
