The present disclosure is capable of reducing discomfort on the part of a photographer by maintaining a given degree of disparity of a left-eye image (9) and a right-eye image, which are stereoscopically displayed, even when the focus lens is moved. If the focal position has changed because of continuous auto focus (YES in Step S16), a degree of disparity correction computation unit (67) computes the degree of disparity correction from the left-eye image data and the right-eye image data (Step S17), and a disparity correction unit (68) moves at least one of either the left-eye image data or the right-eye image data in the left-right direction on the basis of the degree of disparity correction that the degree of disparity correction computation unit (67) computes (step S18). If the focal position has not changed (NO in step S16), at least one of either the left-eye image data or the right-eye image data is moved in the left-right direction on the basis of the degree of disparity correction of the immediately preceding frame (Step S19). The degree of disparity of the primary subject of the image that is displayed in real time is thus corrected so as to be at a given level. |
