Provided is a pneumatic tire having a tread pattern that enables both good handling stability and high resistance to uneven wear. The pneumatic tire is provided with, a composite groove divided into a first groove section and a second groove section by a first grooved side having an inclined side section that is inclined with respect to the tire perimeter line, and a second grooved side that intersects the inclined side section of the first grooved side at an acute angle. The depth of both the first groove section and the second groove section gradually decreases toward the position at which the inclined side section and the second grooved side intersect as viewed in the groove extension direction, and the groove wall, which extends from the first grooved side, is formed as a tapered surface that slopes gently toward the bottom of the groove at the intersection position side as viewed in the groove transverse direction. The pneumatic tire is further provided with, on the tread surface, in a planar view, a groove that is divided by at least a three-sided grooved side. At least a portion of at least one of the groove walls of the groove walls that extend from each grooved side toward the bottom of the groove is formed as a tapered surface, and the angle formed between the tapered surface and a plane that is orthogonal to the tread surface changes in the direction in which the grooved side extends. |
