摘要 <p>Provided is a backplane structure capable of setting equal the peer-to-peer communication distances in between two blades in states of being arbitrarily inserted into a plurality of slots that have been fixedly arranged. In a backplane into which a plurality of three or more blades have been inserted, a plurality of optical fibers or a plurality of optical waveguides, which are of equal length each, form at least one bundle, and form a star topology by being bundled so that the lengths from the end portions of the plurality of optical fibers or the plurality of optical waveguides at both ends of a bundle each differ. The blades are connected to the slots (optical connectors of the blade-sides) so that the communication distances between two blades which will be arbitrarily inserted will be uniform. It is possible to simultaneously manufacture a primary communication path and a secondary communication path, which are redundant communication paths of equal distance, by stacking steps of a core and cladding.</p>
