<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device and a radio signal discrimination method which can avoid harmful radio wave interference to a control channel important for operation of a PHS. <P>SOLUTION: A master unit of a cordless phone includes a symbol counting unit for counting symbols "0" and "1" respectively, of a received signal which has been demodulated from FSK modulation. If the received signal is according to a DECT scheme, the scrambled received signal will have little deviation of a frequency of appearance of the symbol "0" or "1", but if the received signal is according to a PHS scheme, the count by the symbol counting unit will have deviation to either the symbol "0" or symbol "1" because the frequency of a signal is deviated from a center frequency of a channel band of the DECT scheme to a lower frequency side or higher frequency side. By determining this deviation, the reception signal can be determined to be a control channel of the PHS scheme, and the control unit stops communication on this channel to restrain influence to PHS communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
