<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent important image data from being erased even in the case of frequent occurrence of a trigger due to erroneous operation and to facilitate locating important image data. <P>SOLUTION: A drive recorder for vehicle of "triggered recording type" or "normally recording type" includes: a specific state monitoring part which monitors the occurrence of a specific vehicle state changing with driver's driving operation for at least a prescribed time after detection of the occurrence of an event; and a cancel information adding part which adds cancel information indicating that the occurrence of the event is ineffective, to specific data recorded in association with the occurrence of the event if the specific vehicle state does not occur within the prescribed time after detection of the occurrence of the event.
