<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a correction method for a focal detection pixel between an average value correction and a gain correction based on a method of determination taking gamma correction into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 11 comprises: a CCD 32; an AF detection circuit 46; a phase difference pixel correction section 47; and an image signal processing circuit 53. The CCD 32 includes normal pixels and focal detection pixels. The AF detection circuit 46 refers to the pixel value for the focal detection pixel and calculates an evaluation of a focal state of an imaging lens 13. A phase difference pixel correction section 47 calculates an edge amount indicating flatness of an image in the periphery of the focal detection pixels and periphery luminance indicating the luminance of an image in the periphery of the focal detection pixels based the pixel value of the normal pixels in the periphery of the focal detection pixels and then corrects the pixel value for the focal detection pixel by one of the correction methods of the average value correction and the gain correction based on these values. An image signal processing circuit 53 applies a gamma correction process for image data for which the pixel value is corrected for the focal detection pixels by the phase difference pixel correction section 47. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
