<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete block useful for constructing a mass concrete structure in a dangerous location such as a mountain area or the like and to provide a construction method of a mass concrete structure using the concrete block. <P>SOLUTION: A basic unit of a concrete block is a three-dimensional shape object which has a protruded portion in a shape of a truncated pyramid or a truncated cone at a center of an upper surface of a main body having a shape of a rectangular solid, and a fitting hole with a size and shape allowing the protruded portion to be loosely fitted at a center of a lower surface of the main body. Using two of these basic units, a two-body concrete block which is a three-dimensional shape object is constructed so that the respective protruding portions face in the same direction and respective side faces of an identical shape are attached firmly to each other with the protruding portions facing upward. Then, a four-body concrete block is constructed by arranging two of these two-body concrete blocks to be parallel to and to be attached firmly to each other.
