<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily estimating drying shrinkage strain of an aggregate and a method for accurately estimating drying shrinkage strain of a concrete hardened body by using the estimate of drying shrinkage strain of the aggregate. <P>SOLUTION: A method for estimating drying shrinkage strain of an aggregate is to measure a moisture absorptivity of an aggregate and estimate drying shrinkage strain of the aggregate based on the moisture absorptivity. Specifically, the mass of an aggregate in absolute dry condition (absolute dry mass) and the mass of an aggregate absorbing moisture under a predetermined condition (moisture absorption mass) are measured and a moisture absorptivity of the aggregate is calculated based on the mass by the following formula: moisture absorptivity(%)=(moisture absorption mass-absolute dry mass)/absolute dry mass×100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
