<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample collection chamber capable of airtightly closing the inside of its main body easily even when a biological sample is too large to fit into the main body of the sample collection chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The sample collection chamber 5 comprises a cylindrical airtight main body 9 and a lid 10 that is airtightly attached to an end of the main body 9 and has a sample inlet port 24. The sample inlet port 24 is provided with a ring-shaped elastic packing 29 that airtightly comes into contact with an entirety of the periphery of a biological sample that is too large to fit into the main body 9 when a part of it is inserted into the main body 9 through the sample inlet port 24. In this way, even when a biological sample is too large to fit into the main body of the sample collection chamber, the inside of the main body can be airtightly closed easily because the elastic packing tightly comes into contact with the entirety of the periphery of the biological sample at the sample inlet port by only inserting a part of the biological sample into the main body through the sample inlet port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
