HEAD TRANSMISSION FUNCTION GENERATION DEVICE, HEAD TRANSMISSION FUNCTION GENERATION METHOD, AND AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a head transmission function of high precision.

SOLUTION: A head transmission function H and an elementary-state transmission characteristic T are measured for a direct wave in an anechoic chamber 2. The head transmission function H is normalized with the elementary-state transmission characteristic T, to provide a relative value whose zero-level is definite. By calculating a square root of dynamic diameter γn(m) in the data of frequency axis, the head transmission function H measured in the dimension of electric power can be correctly converted into a normalized head transmission function HN in the dimension of voltage. A television apparatus 50 convolutes the normalized head transmission function HN into audio signals, to allow a listener to listen to the natural and high-quality sound that is not excessively enhanced.
