<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an error corresponding to an image height of distance information despite changes in a blur function corresponding to the image height. <P>SOLUTION: An image is divided into four areas by diagonal lines, and a circular area near the center is defined as a low image height area while the four areas excluding the low image height area are defined as high image height areas. A form of a blur function varies depending on the image height. A Gaussian filter standard deviation for blur addition to determine a distance is varied according to a change in the blur function. As an example, a standard two dimensional Gaussian filter is applied to the low image height area, and a two dimensional Gaussian filter which cancels out the change in the blur function is applied to upper and lower high image height areas and right and left high image height areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
