<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage controller for driving a plurality of storage devices, for which a virtual volume is set, with low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The storage controller includes: a virtual volume control part for setting a plurality of logical volumes to a plurality of RAID devices each having a plurality of storage devices, allocating at least one of the logical volumes as a virtual volume, and additionally allocating a non-allocated logical volume to the virtual volume corresponding to the capacity of stored data; a storage part for storing access conversion information between the virtual volume and the logical volume; an access control part for converting access to the virtual volume on the basis of the access conversion information; an access monitoring part for monitoring an access frequency to each logical volume; a movement control part for moving the data of the logical volume determined corresponding to the access frequency to another RAID device; and an access conversion information updating part for updating the access conversion information for the access to the logical volume of a data moving destination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
