<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a load to be laterally well distributed even if large roof light windows are provided in the front and rear portions of the ceiling of an operator cab. <P>SOLUTION: In an operator cab 1B of a type in which left and right front pillars 2L and 2R and left and right rear pillars 3L and 3R are positioned near the center in the front-back direction from the front and rear ends of the operator cab 1B, the front and rear pillars 2L and 3L on the left side and the front and rear pillars 2R and 3R on the right side are connected to each other, respectively, at their tops by side members 4L and 4R extending respectively from front to back along the left and right sides of the ceiling of the operator cab 1B. An X-shaped beam 12 having an X-like planar shape is connected at its four ends to the upper ends of the left and right front pillars 2L and 2R and the left and right rear pillars 3L and 3R. A lateral load applied is directly transmitted via the X-shaped beam 12 between the left pillars 2L and 3L and the right pillars 2R and 3R, respectively. A space between beam members 12a and 12b in the front side of the X-shaped beam 12 and a space between beam members 12a and 12c in the back side of the X-shaped beam 12 are utilized to provide roof light windows 10 and 11, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
