<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily diagnose whether a microphone (sound wave detector) is normal before leak position detecting operation, and to efficiently carry on the leak position detecting operation. <P>SOLUTION: An acoustic leak position detection device 1 includes a first connection portion 10 connected to an opening end L1 on one end side of a set detection section L of piping P, and a second connection portion 20 connected to an opening end L2 on the other side, wherein a first sound wave detector 11 and a first sound wave generator 12 are arranged at the first connection portion 10, and a second sound wave detector 21 and a second sound wave generator 22 are arranged at the second connection portion 20. The acoustic leak position detection device 1 further includes a signal processing portion 30 for inputting detection signals of first and second sound wave detectors 11, 22 and outputting operation signals of first and second sound wave generators 12, 22.
