<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeating device for power line communication capable of repeating packet signals flowing through a power line, while power consumption is saved. <P>SOLUTION: In a repeating device 1a for power line communication, a monitoring part 43 monitors whether the number of times of retry included in a packet demodulated by a demodulation part 41 reaches a predetermined number of times.
