<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of performing stable fixing and to provide an image forming apparatus capable of stabilizing image quality after fixing. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature of a liquid fixer changing with a usage environment temperature is adjusted to a predetermined temperature at which an optimal viscosity for foaming is obtained by temperature control means 18. The temperature control means 18 detects temperature of the liquid fixer by a temperature sensor 19, and a temperature controller 21 adjusts supply power to a heater 20 for heating based on the detected temperature so that temperature of the liquid fixer is a predetermined temperature. Further, temperature of air for foaming the liquid fixer is adjusted in the same manner. With this, by generating a foamed liquid fixer after adjusting each temperature, a foamed liquid fixer having a predetermined foam diameter and a predetermined bulk density can be generated even if the usage environment temperature changes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
