Multiple display panels (10A, 10B) are formed on the same substrate (2), and for each display panel (10A, 10B) are provided a data signal line (11A, 11B) and a scanning signal line (12A, 12B), and a data signal line driving circuit (20A, 20B) and a scanning signal line driving circuit (30A, 30B) which drive, respectively, the data signal lines (11A, 11B) and the scanning signal lines (12A, 12B). By this means, power consumption is reduced and design freedom is increased in display devices provided with multiple display panels on the same substrate.
