The method involves determining total fat contents and/or contents of novo synthesized fatty acid biomarkers. The fatty acid bio markers lauric acid is used. The fatty acid bio markers myristic acid is used. The combination of lauric and pyretic acids of the fatty acid bio markers and/or a combination of one of the acids with one of the bio markers are used. The fatty acid composition and/or the fatty acid profile are determined from a skin sample. The influence of the life and/or attitude conditions is determined.
